The service

Prepared, corrected, then protected.

The paint is washed and decontaminated extensively and clayed, then corrected and polished, with the stages chosen for the paint in front of them. The corrected surfaces are prepared for coating and protected with two applications of CQUARTZ UK 3.0, before tyres, trim and glass are finished.

What correction can and can't do

Polishing removes a very small amount of clear coat to level the surface around a defect. Light swirling and dullness usually respond well. Deeper scratches, etching that has gone through the clear coat, and paint that is already thin are a different question — the honest answer for those is set after the paint has been inspected, not before.

That is why this service starts with an assessment. It sets the realistic outcome, the stages needed and the time required, so nothing is promised that the paint cannot deliver.

Protection options

CQUARTZ UK 3.0 — paint
Applied twice over the corrected and prepared paint. Included in the service.
CQUARTZ DLUX — wheel faces
A coating for the wheel faces so brake dust releases more easily during washing.
Glass protection
Water-repellent protection for glass. The coating system is confirmed per vehicle so it suits that glass and application method — windshield products and other protection products are not interchangeable.

After the coating

A coating changes how the vehicle is washed rather than removing the need to wash it. Maintenance detailing uses a coating-safe wash and refreshes the protective layer on top, which keeps the beading and the easy clean-up you paid for.

Correction and coating questions

  • No. Correction reduces defects that sit within the clear coat, and how much improvement is possible depends on the paint's condition and thickness. Anything deeper than the clear coat cannot be polished out, and the assessment is where that gets set out honestly.
